What is new in 2026

  • Europe now checks fingerprints and a photo at the border (EES). The ETIAS travel authorization is not required yet.
  • South Korea requires a free e-Arrival Card, and the K-ETA is waived for U.S. citizens through December 31, 2026.
  • New airline limits on power banks: two per person, carry-on only, no charging in flight.
  • Shoes can stay on at TSA, plus a REAL ID reminder and online passport renewal.
