Your guide

Hi, I’m Candice.

I moved overseas at nineteen on a student visa, and I kept going. I got hired to teach English in Korea and never really left.

I have lived in about seven countries and traveled to about thirty. I ran an eight-year stretch at Berlitz Korea managing a twenty-person teaching staff, worked with the Korea Defense Language Institute, and taught at Woosong University. I hold an MA in International Relations and a Cambridge CELTA, and I am an ISA Grand Prize-winning screenwriter.

Everything on this site comes from one idea: nobody should have to figure this out alone.

“Your Type Is the Korean Barista Who Don’t Speak English.”

Before the programs, there was a story. A coffee-shop story set in Seoul, told in short episodes, that people kept sharing. It became an original soundtrack, and it became the front door for a lot of the women I now walk with.
